Application Areas

Orion FMCW (RDR300 series) radar level sensor is used for continuous level and volume measurement of liquid and solid materials in non-contact open and closed tanks. A 4-button sealed keypad and LCD display are used to set the parameters of the level to be measured and the distance range. Fault indicator informs you about the operation and fault status of the FMCW radar. In addition, it can display the measured value as level, distance (cm, m) or volume (liter, m3). The device uses FMCW (pulse) technology instead of measurement time. It generates and sends a signal scan with frequency increasing over time. The transmitted signal is reflected by the measured surface. The reflected signal is picked up by the antenna. The frequency difference between the transmitted and received signals is directly proportional to the distance between the measured surface and the sensor.
